Sarah Schaffer, age 94, of Madisonville, widow of Robert Calvin Schaffer, passed away Friday December 24th, 2010, at Loudon Health Care.
Preceded in death by infant children, Edwin and Elizabeth Schaffer; grandson, J.B. Schaffer; great granddaughter, Maura Dotson; parents, Ben and Rachael Clark; sisters, Grace and Cara Peak, and Cordellia Janow; brothers, Ervin, J.B., and Bill Clark; son-in-law, Arnold Red Bivens.
Survivors: daughters, Wanda Lawson, of Madisonville, Susie Wayman, of Maryville; sons, Grover Schaffer, Wesley Schaffer, Dwayne Schaffer, all of Tellico Plains; 12 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; 27 great- great grandchildren; sisters, Robbie Janow, Mary Schaffer, Vickie Ellison, Louise Sanders, Glenda Linebarger, and Wilma Ellis, all of Spring City, Shirley Reed, and Betty Garrison, of Grandview; brothers, Howard, Boyd, and Danny Clark, all of Spring City; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral 2 P.M. Wednesday, Biereley-Hale, Chapel. Rev. Bobby Lawson, Rev. Richard Lane officiating. Interment in Old St. Paul Cemetery, Vonore. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
