Sarah is one of three sisters (Bertha and Flora) who married three brothers (Dewey, Servetus and Oscar). She was a gentle, quiet lady. Occasionally, she'd let us braid her long hair. Rumor has it that she chewed tobacco...I saw that Folgers coffee can my whole life, but NEVER saw her use it. Some of my older cousins call her "ABC Grandma", because she taught them the alphabet. Her son, Bill, called her "Sarie"...although I never knew why. She made the best buscuits...everyone wondered her secret. Bill discovered her secret one day...she used "whomp em's"...canned biscuits she hit on the counter to open. Funny lady!
I will always miss her.
