THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, April 14, 1982, p. 4: “Thomas Aaron Francis, formerly of 507 E. Neagle St., died at Cherry Street Annex at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 13. Services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with John Cannon, minister of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ, officiating and burial in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Mr. Francis was born Dec. 17, 1894, in Arkansas, a son of John W. Francis and Mary Evans Francis. He came to Texas in 1910 and married Miss Annie Maw Armstrong on Sept. 6, 1914 in the Glory community. They lived there and in Oklahoma and Biardstown until moving to Paris in 1944. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. James Lemon of Dallas, two sons, Woodrow Francis of Pittsburg and Jack E. Francis of Paris; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lloyd Francis, George T. Francis, Terry Francis, James T. Lemon, Brad Francis and Mike Nicholson.” Submitted by Carol Campbell.
THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, April 16, 1982, p. 4: “FRANCIS FUNERAL. Funeral services for Thomas Aaron Francis, formerly of 507 E. Neagle, were held at 4 p.m. Friday at Fry & Gibbs Chapel with John Cannon officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lloyd Francis, George T. Francis, Terry Francis, James T. Lemon, Brad Francis, and Mike Nicholson. Mr. Francis died Tuesday night at Cherry Street Annex.” Submitted by Tina Vickery.
