Katherine A. Gibson, 72, Amboy, died at 8:10 p.m. Monday Aug 20, 1990 at Marion General Hospital.

She was born on March 16, 1913, in Three Oaks, Mich., to George and Alice Lake Walters.

She married Earl Sutton on July 20, 1929. He died on June 25, 1951. She married Lawrence "Hoot" Gibson on July 17, 1963. He survives.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Amboy Wesleyan Church.

Other survivors include: a son, Larry Sutton, Amboy; two stepsons, James, Marion, and Bob, Converse; two daughters, Joan Oden, Jonesboro, and Marjorie Bates, Brownstown; a stepdaughter, Virginia Moon, Lake Wales, Fla; a brother, Harvey Walters, Pigeon Forge, Tenn; two sisters, Edna Barton, Gas City, and Nellie Hughes, Peru; 17 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home, Amboy, with the Revs. Harold Walker and Rudell Sparks officiating. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetary, near Amboy.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
