Lorene E. Danner Oliver, age 84 of Joplin, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her home.
Born July 11, 1926 in Joplin, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Danner and lived in Joplin her lifetime.
Lorene worked as a secretary for the former First National Bank at 4th & Main.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Joplin Bridge Club and participated in bowling leagues at Fourth Street Bowl with friends and family.
She married Richard N. Oliver on June 13, 1945 at Parsons, Kan. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1998.
Survivors include one son, Greg Oliver of Carthage; one granddaughter, Jennifer K. Franklin and husband Paul of Chandler, Ariz.; one grandson, Greg Oliver, Jr. of Jamestown, Calif.; one brother, Clarence Danner of Carterville, Mo.; and one sister, Rosalie Belk of Joplin. Most recently, she was thrilled by the birth of her great-grandson, Vaughn Gregory Franklin.
She will be tremendously missed.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30th at Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29th at Parker Mortuary. www.parkermortuary.com
