Loretta M. Danner Thompson, age 83, of Joplin, passed away at 12:05 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2006, at St. Johns Regional Medical Center.
Born May 17, 1922, in Joplin, she was the daughter of the late John A. Danner and Rose Mulkey Danner.
She lived in Joplin her lifetime with the exception of 11 years in Seattle, Wash.
She was a caregiver for the elderly and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dale W. Thompson and wife, Diane, of Exeter, Mo., and Gene L. Thompson and wife, Cheryl, of Oronogo, Mo.; a brother, Clarence Danner and wife, Elsie, of Carterville, Mo.; four sisters, Lorene Oliver and husband, Richard, of Joplin, Rosalee Belk and husband, Jerry, of Duenweg, Mo., Shirley Brown and husband, Howard, of Joplin, and Lula Faye Turnbull and husband, Wayne, of Joplin; five grandchildren, Troy Thompson and wife, Linda, Dale W. Thompson Jr. and wife, Wendy, Darin Thompson and wife, Laurie, Christina Wilson and husband, James, and Dustin Thompson; and nine great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Freddie Wright officiating.
Pallbearers will be Troy, Seth, Darin, Josh and Dustin Thompson, Dale Thompson Jr. and James Wilson.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
