After a lingering illness of nearly a year, William Relyea passed quietly away this morning. Consumption and dropsy where the causes. Mr. Relyea was 71 years, six months of age, and has lived in this vicinity most of his days. He is well known by most of the people of Defiance. He leaves a wife and 10 children to mourn his loss. The funeral will occur from the Evangelical church in North Defiance tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. J. M. Dustman conducting the service. The remains of be buried in the cemetery at Brunersberg. - Defiance Daily Crescent, October 29, 1892.
