Adele Yuska, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 27, 2009, at the Hampton House, Hanover Township. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Pavoliute Juska and was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School. Prior to her retirement, Adele had been employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry. She was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Church, Wilkes-Barre, loved her vegetable garden and enjoyed canning. She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Walter. Surviving are sister Ann Kozubal, Wilkes-Barre; brothers Joseph, Cleveland, Ohio, and Vincent, Wilkes-Barre; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Bednarski & Thomas Funeral Home, 27 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, South Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek. Friends may call on Saturday from 8 to 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and from 9 to 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 190 Welles St., Suite 118, Forty Fort, PA 18704.
