Lura Auline Holleman, 92, died Saturday, June 2, 2001 at Trace regional Hospital in Houston. She was born April 1, 1909, in Chickasaw County to the late John W. and Kizzie Sanders Holleman. She was a former employee of Houston Drug Store, where she worked for 22 years. She was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church.
Services were held Monday, June 1, 2001, at Prospect United Methodist Church with Bro. Mike Childs officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorial funeral Home of Houston was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one nephew, Harrison Upsha, III of Greenville; one niece, Joy Upshaw Murphy of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; seven great nieces and great nephews.
