Funeral Rites to Be Held Today for Mrs. John Holleman

Mrs. John Holleman died Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at her residence near Houston following an illness of several days' duration of pneumonia. Had she lived until Christmas Day she would have celebrated her 69th birthday.

Mrs. Holleman, before her marriage July 9 1901, was Miss Kizzie Sanders, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Sanders, pioneer settlers of Chickasaw.

Mrs. Holleman had recently developed measles but had been up several days when she suffered a relapse which later went into pneumonia.

She had been, since early life, a loyal member of the Prospect Methodist Church. Those who knew her appreciated her for her sincerity and kindly spirit.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at the Prospect Church, interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. W L Graves, a former pastor, will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jack and Billy Holleman, Evans, James, and Everett Baird, and Robert Everett Evans, great nephews of Mrs. Holleman. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Jean, J W Hill, Joe L Davis, B M Smith, T J Lowry, Doss Lowry, Leonard Wilson, and C E Verell.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Holleman leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Upshaw and Miss Lura Holleman.
