Daisy was an infant when her mother died, after which she lived with her Michael relatives in Lima Township, Carroll county, Illinois. Sometime after, her father John Michael remarried and started a second family at Ackley, Iowa. Daisy then moved there and lived with her father's sister Hannah Sarber, as they had a girl about the same age. She is shown in their household in the 1885 Iowa state census for Ackley, Hardin County.

FORMER RESIDENT OF CHAPIN DIES - Taken There For Burial In Wayside Cemetery - Chapin Ia. Oct. 29 - The body of Mrs. J.M. Schollian, of Mason City was brought here for burial in the Wayside Cemetery last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Schollian was a resident of the Chapin community several years ago and she was 69 years at the time of her death. She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Oscar Hay and Mrs. Paul Rasmussen, of Mason City and two sons Leo Schollian of Bettendorf and Wayne Schollian of Dodge Center, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Chauncey Schollian.

Mrs Schollian, 68, Succumbs - Funeral Rites to Be Thursday Afternoon; Burial at Chapin - Mrs Daisy Diantha Michaels Schollian, 68, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Paul Rasmussen, 2305 Twentieth street southwest, about 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, following a lingering illness. She had been a resident of Mason City for the past 18 years
Mrs Schollian was born at Brookville, Ill., Feb. 14, 1873. She spent her early childhood in Illinois and moved to Chapin at the age of 16, She was married to James M Schollian Dec q6, 1890 at Ackley. They moved to Lake Mills and later to Mason City.
Surviving Mrs Schollian are two daughters, Mrs Oscar Hay and Mrs Paul Rasmussen, Mason City, and two sons, Leo Schollian, Bettendorf, and Wayne Schollian, Dodge Center, Minn. and one brother, Fred Michaels, Minneapolis, and 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, May 14, 1934, in Mason City, and by one son, Chancy, March 10, 1919, in Hampton.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the chapel of the McAuley and Son funeral home with the Rev O.L.N. Wigdahl, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church on charge. A short interment service will be held at the Wayside cemetery at Chapin at 3:30 o'clock.
