Hazel DeValcourt McManus, formerly of Port Arthur, passed away at age 90 in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, November 19, 2005.

Hazel was born on March 9, 1915 in Sunset, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Vincent Clyde McManus.

She is survived by her children, Bernadine Carruth, Kirbyville, Texas, Charles McManus and wife, Nippy, Dallas, Texas, Ann Kimtantas and husband, Charles of Sugarland, Texas and Clyde McManus and wife Maxine of Mesquite, Texas. She has 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

As one of 13 children of William and Estelle Smith DeValcourt, she is survived by her sister, Philomena Bourg of Port Arthur, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 P.M. Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at Clayton- Thompson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2005, 11 a.m. at Clayton- Thompson Funeral Home, Port Arthur, Texas. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

This pretty little girl with the curls is Hazel de Valcourt of Sunset, La, Hazel is nine years old and very fond of school. She likes arithmetic best of all her studies.
