Essie Louise Brown of Ravenden died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was 86 years old.
She was born Sept. 23, 1924, to the late Huler and Daisey M. Lillard Dover at Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Freeman Brown; three children, Carolyn Fay Brown, Lewis Gene Brown and Rita Faye Dail; and two brothers, Lewis G. 'Slim' Dover and John Lloyd Dover.
She is survived by five children, Jerry and Charla Brown, James Brown, Linda and Ronnie Wiles, all of Ravenden, Rickey and Vickie Brown of Walls, Miss., and Betty and Randy Bradley of Cord; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack Dover and Troy Dover. Many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends will mourn her passing.
Burial was in Bradford Cemetery near Ravenden.
Pallbearers were; Jason Brown, Jason Riddle, Tommy Riddle and Tanner Bradley; with Daniel Dail, Brian Strickland, Jerry Jernigan and Dale Brausen as honorary pallbearers.
