My Aunt Eldora was a remarkable person. She was my Aunt. She was the daughter of Albert Arthur Nickolai and Ida Marie Nickolai. She had one brother, Eugene Nickolai. She was a very caring & loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt & Great-Grandmother. She was married to Melvin Edgar Nero and had two sons, George A. Nero and Russell M. Nero. She resided in the Wautoma Wisconsin area her entire life.

In the early years she helped her husband Melvin with the family business, Nero Cartage, was a housewife and mother. She worked for a pharmacy for a while in Wautoma while also caring for her husband who was going through Chemo at the time.

She later worked in the Waushara County Courthouse at the time of her retirement. In 1982 she helped my ex and I fill out our marriage certificate information. That was a special thing.

I never saw my Aunt cry, not once, about anything, no matter how terrible it was at the time. She was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma right up until the end of her life. She was a remarkable woman. She amazed me. The whole family misses her...I miss her. She was a neat person to be around.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Albert & Ida Nickolai, her husband, Mel and one son, George.
