Services for Mamie Sarah Childress, 80, of Lufkin, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Hedges and the Rev. Lloyd Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
Mrs. Childress was born August 1, 1910 in Franklin County and died Sunday in a Beaumont hospital. She had lived most of her life in Nacogdoches and Angelina counties and was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by her husband Hugh T. Childress in 1971.
