BIRDSONG, Albert Eldon The Pulaski Citizen 17 Aug 1960Funeral services for Albert Eldon Birdsong, 72, magistrate of the Ninth Civil District for many years and a retired farmer, were held at 1:30 o'clock on Sunday afternoon at Elkton Methodist Church. Rites were conducted by the Rev. Raymond L. Greenway, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Talmadge Clayton, Baptist minister, and burial took place in the family lot in Elkton Cemetery. Mr. Birdsong, who has suffered several paralytic strokes, died at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, August 13, at the home, three miles south of Pulaski.A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born August 21, 1887, the son of the late Walter H. Birdsong and Laura Belle mason Birdsong, members of pioneer families of the county. He was a member of the Elkton Methodist Church.Mr. Birdsong is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle May Birdsong; two sons, Eldon Birdsong, Jr., Elkton, and Sam A. Birdsong, Florence, Ala.; three granddaughters, Miss Linda Birdsong, Elkton and Misses Donna and Diana Birdsong, Florence; and one brother, Grady Birdsong, Elkton.
