Mr. Sam Allen Birdsong, 66, of Ardmore, Tenn., died Friday, June 6, 1986, at Maury County Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 7, at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Suddarth and Rev. James Hopkins officiating. Burial was in Elkton Cemetery.
A native of Giles County, Mr. Birdsong was the son of the late Albert Eldon and Myrtle May Birdsong. He was a retired employee of NASA and was a member of the Elkton Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Frances Birdsong; two daughters, Mrs. Donna Young of Pulaski, Mrs. Diane Reynolds of Ardmore; one brother, Albert E. Birdsong, Jr. of Elkton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one niece, Linda Birdsong of Elkton.
