James H. "Jim" Burroughs - age 80 - of the Union Hill Community of Lacey's Spring died Thursday, Demember 16, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, December 19, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the Brindlee Mountain Chapel with Brother Shane Wheeler and Brother Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Morgan County.

Mr. Burroughs was born on September 10, 1930, in Clay County, to Reeve and Earlie E. Caldwell Burroughs. He was a machinist and was married to Jackie A. Alsip Burroughs.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years: Jackie A. Burroughs of Lacey's Spring; daughters and sons-in-law: Sandra (John) Royster of Union Grove and Debbie (John) White of Lacey's Spring,; a brother: Bobby Burroughs of Wadley, Alabama; a sister: Mohee Foster of Wedowee, Alabama; 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Blocker, Tristen Blocker, Daniel Couch, Will Martin, And Nathan Royster.
