Mrs. Chauncey "Ada" Maynard, 102, Matney Westside Manor, 1414 Casselman St., Sioux City, Iowa died Wednesday January 31, 1979 at the nursing home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Elk Point, S.D. The Rev. David Workman of the Methodist Church wil officiate. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery at Elk Point.
Mrs. Maynard was born March 21, 1876, in Hamilton County, South Dakota.
She was married March 5, 1896, in Elk Point. Mr. Maynard died in 1947. She came to Sioux City in 1959 and had been a resident of the nursing home for the last two years.
Survivors include two sons, Sidney of Westfield, Iowa and Ira J. of Sioux City; one daughter. Mrs. Cloie Nearman of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
