Leyla Ayoubee Rickly Posey, 77, of Hernando, Florida, formerly of Lansing, MI. died at home on Sunday. A native of Flint, MI, she was born to the late Saladin and Lorinda Ayoubee, and came to this area in 1977 from Lansing. She was an exercise, aquatics, and fitness instructor in this area for many years. Additionally, she was a jobs placement counselor, having operated Jobs Unlimited with her husband. Leyla was a member of Citrus Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Lewis F. Posey; five children, Michael J. and Steven C. Rickly, both of Hernando, David B. Rickly of Deland, Michael Posey of Inverness, and Larry Posey of Bushnell; her sister, Joy T. Ayoubee of Holiday; five grandchildren, Leila, Ashley, Joshua, Amber, and Michael; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond, and two sisters, Hoda and Vivian.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, Dec. 9, at from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, with Pastor Troy Sheppard of the Citrus Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
