Donald C. Bahler, 77, died after a lenghy illness Monday, Jan. 20, 1997 at his home.
He was born Sept. 5, 1919 in Wolcott. He gaduated from Remington High School. In WW II he was in the Navy aboard the Battleship U.S.S. South Dakota. He attended and graduated from Coin Electric in Chicago.
Mr. Bahler married Norma I. Dobbins on June 22, 1946 in Rochester, she survives.
Mr. Bahler was a longtime member of the Remington United Methodist Church; American Legion Post #280; Veterans of Foreign Wars; and the Masonic Lodge of Remington.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Alisa Hickman of Monticello; Donna Bahler of Indianapolis; two brothers, Russell and Victor both of Remington; two sisters, Alberta Thomas of Fremont, CA; and Betty Hall of Beech Grove.
Burial wil be at Remington Cemetery with miltary rites.
