Russell served on the Remington Town Board. He was also very family oriented. He was the 'grandpa' to go to for candy stand money at the Chautauqua. Russ served as the official Remington Fountain Park Chautauqua electrician for many years.
Russell is survived by his children: Melonye (Ray) Schebler, Todd (Mary Ann) Bahler, 5 grandchildren: Robert, Mark, Cody, Morgan, Brittney, and 3 great-grandchildren: Alex, Leela, Mason, and two on the way.
