Irene R. Kleekamp, 82, Washington, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at New Haven Care Center. Mrs. Kleekamp, daughter of Frank Aholt and wife Victoria, nee Piontek, was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia Grade School. On Sept. 14, 1946, she was united in marriage to Clem Kleekamp at St. Francis Borgia Church. Mrs. Kleekamp worked for Jefferson Products, Hazel and Edison Brothers. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the St. John's Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Kleekamp was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Armella Peirick and Joan Roetheli; and three brothers, Norbert, Wilfred and Fran Aholt. She is survived by her husband, Clem Kleekamp, Washington; three daughters, Linda Hillermann and husband Gary, Karen Chrisco and husband Ron and Sue Hellebusch and husband Gerard, all of Washington; two sisters, Mary Beth Haddox and Bernice Connor and husband Bill, all of Washington; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Fred and Cecilia Kleekamp, Bert Kleekamp, Lil and Vern Tobben and Arlene Kleekamp, all of Washington; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends. A funeral Mass was held Friday, Feb. 8, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Washington. The Rev. James Byrnes officiated. Interment was in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery, Washington. Memorials to New Haven Care Center, St. John's Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, or Our Lady of Lourdes Church Building Fund are preferred. The family was served by Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
