Mary Beth Haddox, nee Aholt, 87, Washington, passed away Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, Creve Coeur. Mary Beth, daughter of the late Frank Aholt and wife Victoria, nee Piontek, was born April 19, 1930. She was united in marriage to the late Bernard Kappelmann Nov. 3, 1951, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, and after his death in 1955, married the late Fred "Montie" Haddox June 26, 1971, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. She was a great lover of gardening and a good book, enjoyed dancing and was an excellent cook. Mary Beth took special pride in being a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary Beth is survived by seven children, Vicky Grass, St. Louis, Fred Haddox and wife Sally, Bluffton, S.C., Cindy Kemper, Columbia, Brad Haddox and wife Lora, Madisonville, La., Brett Haddox and wife Kathy, Washington, Bart Haddox and wife Stacie, Pacific, and Lisa Haddox and husband Frank Reust, Washington; one sister, Bernice Connor and husband Bill, Washington; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two husbands, her parents, and six siblings. Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, Washington. A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Washington. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Grade School. The Haddox family is being served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
