Rincon - Edith Kessler Ackerman, 92, died September 19, 2006 at Westview Nursing Home.
The Effingham County native was a member of Rincon United Methodist Church.
She had worked many years at Bubba's Kwikway and had worked at Best Laundry in Savannah.
She also was an honorary member of the Rincon P.T.A.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Offie Ackerman, an infant daughter, and a granddaughter, Debbie Ackerman Christian.
Survivors: two daughters, Mary MacDonald of Williamsburg, VA, and Sarah Martin of Rincon; two sons, Laurie Ackerman of Rincon and Eddie Ackerman of Rincon; a sister, Ola Mae Heidt of Springfield; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Goshen United Methodist Church.
Burial: Goshen United Methodist Cemetery.
Remembrances: Goshen UMC Cemetery Fund or the Rincon Athletic Association.
