SCHIAVO, CINDERELLA 'CINDY' (NEE GUERRIERI) 94, of Cologne, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 2, 1999. She was born in Italy, came to this country at the age of 6 and resided in Pomona until 1975, and has since lived in Cologne. She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph, who together operated Schiavo's Grocery Store in Pomona. She was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Pomona and the Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed working dinners and bingo from the founding days of the church. She volunteered in the Pomona School's Lunch Program. She was a member of the Pomona Senior Citizen Club, the Deborah Hospital Chapter of Egg Harbor City and the Pomona Fire Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from Pembroke Clothing Factory in Egg Harbor City. Mrs. Schiavo is survived by her daughters, Christina Volpe and her husband, Joseph of Audubon, PA and Rose Roesch and her husband, Charles of Cologne, with whom she resided; her sons, Frank Schiavo and predeceased by his wife, Joni of Sarasota, FL and Ralph Schiavo, Jr. and his wife, Carole of Ocean City; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; her sisters, Jennie Colepardi and her husband, Joseph of Winter Garden, FL and Rose Orlando and her husband, Dominic of Egg Harbor Township; her sisters-in-law, Anna Guerrieri of Absecon Highlands and Evelyn Guerrieri of Egg Harbor City. She was also predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. A viewing will be held from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 6, 1999 at Church of the Assumption, 276 W. White Horse Pike, Pomona, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Egg Harbor City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (965-0357). Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Assumption, P.O. Box 517, Pomona, NJ 08240.
