Mrs. Schultz, 64, Dies of Heart Attack
Mrs. W. A. Schultz, 64, died of a heart attack at 3:30 p.m. yesterday at Holy Family hospital. She had been afflicted with arthritis for the past six years.

Born Oct. 25, 1888, in Schaller, Sac county, Mrs. Schultz moved with her parents at the age of 12 to a farm southeast of Estherville. She attended the Schaller and Estherville public schools.

She married W. A. Schultz on Oct. 16, 1912. Her maiden name was Mabel Markley. The couple farmed north of Estherville until 1936 when they moved to Estherville where her husband was partner in the real estate and insurance business. Their present home is 803 Third avenue north.

Mrs. Schultz was a past chief of the Pythian Sisters lodge, member of the Methodist church and Alpha Sunday school class. She also was a charter member of the Triple E. club of Estherville.

Surviving her death are her husband; two children, Donald W. Schultz of Des Moines and Mrs. R. W. (Alice) Hansen of Ruthven; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Arthur and Earl Markley of Estherville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Sandin funeral home and at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church, the Rev. H. Hughes Dill officiating. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery. Friends may call at the Sandin funeral home after noon tomorrow. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 28, 1952)
