Mr. Walker was born in Caldwell County, October 30, 1934, to the late Albert B. and Beulah Rose Marley Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Day Walker; and two brothers, Albert Buford and Verlon Walker.
While in high school, Mr. Walker played high school and Legion baseball. Later on he umpired games and was a little league coach. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Also, he was a member of the Woodsman Organization.
Survivors include three nephews, Jack, Charlie and Andrew Day; four nieces, Debbie Cogliano, Barbara Belas, Janet Dziesinski, and Leigh Ann Young
