Married first, Lt. Robert W. McClure, 14 Feb 1866. He died 2 Nov 1866.

A dramatic local legend grew up that Pattie took her own life upon hearing of Robert's death, and that her screams still haunt the Vasser mansion in Athens. This is not true. She married a second time and died many years later. However, at least three of her adult children did die under tragic circumstances, and none of them ever married or had children.

2. Elizabeth "Elsie" Dandridge, b. 20 Dec 1873, d. 23 Jul 1945; never married.
3. Robert Taylor, b. 8 Sep 1875, d. 2 Jan 1949 in the Home for Indigents, Philadelphia, PA. Buried in Charles Town, WV, according to death certificate; never married.
4. Katherine Vasser, b. 4 Jan 1877, d. 6 Sep 1926; never married.
5. Charlotte "Carlotta" Howard, b. Mar 1880, d. 3 Sep 1912; never married.
6. Lawrence Francis Holmes, b. 18 Aug 1881, d. 28 Mar 1907; never married.
