Sarah is my 4th great grandmother. Sarah was the daughter of Joseph and Hannah Hamblen (Whitney). She married Edmund Phinney on March 26,1780 in Gorham,Maine. They were the parents of nine children; Rev. Clement Phinney, John-1783-1868, James-1785-1806, Betsey-1787-1865, Rev. Joseph H-1789-1869, Hannah-1794-1816, Thomas-1798-1882, Edmund Jr.-1799-1868 and Jane B, 1803-1844.Sarah is buried in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Harrison,Cumberland, Maine.
