Union, Aug. 28 - Mrs Elvira (Clark) Shanklin, wife of 'Squire A. M. Shanklin, died at her home, at Willow Bend, this county, on Saturday morning, last August 22, 1914, after a protracted illness of Bright's disease. She was born in Monroe county, Nov. 15, 1847, and the span of her life was therefore, 66 years, 9 months and 7 days. Mrs. Shanklin was a woman of kindly, benevolent disposition, and a good neighbor.
