The deceased was born in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, came to Illinois with her parents when six years of age. Was married to Samuel Sarber in Rockville, (sic, likely Brookville) Illinois twenty-five years ago and came to Iowa in 1877. Mrs. Sarber was the sister of Henry and John Michaels of this place. Her brother and a nephew came from Illinois to attend the funeral. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, twelve years old. The whole family misses mother's tender care. The funeral took place yesterday at 2:30 o'clock from the house and the interment services were held at the German Evangelical Church, Reverend Belser preaching the sermon. - Ackley (IA) World Journal, pg 1, 25 Oct 1889
