Frankie Geneva Trammell Smithers,
71, of Huntsville, died January 25, 1999, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Born in Scott County, February 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Dock and Josie Baker Trammell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded also in death by five brothers: Willie, Ed, Virgil, Arnold, and Russell Trammell. She was a member of Clay Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Marcum and husband, Harold of Indianapolis, Ind.; one son, Steven Smithers and wife, Donna of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Beaulah Jones of Pine Knot, Ky., and Marie Davis and husband, Roscoe of Butler, Ohio; two brothers, Floyd Trammell and wife, Edna of Winfield, and Paul Trammell of Oneida; five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. Funeral service is to be conducted January 28, 1999, 8 p.m., in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Stanley officiating. Music is to be provided by The Adkins Family. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. Graveside service is to be conducted January 29, 1999, 10 a.m., in the Trammell Cemetery. Jones & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
