JUMPING BRANCH - William Wesley Basham, 91, of Jumping Branch, Summers County, died Dec. 23, 1999, in Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital after a long illness.
He was retired from Baltimore Box Company and was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church, Jumping Branch.
Surviving: sons, Basil of Hinton, Willard and Leslie, both of Baltimore, Charles of Garland, Texas; daughters, Shelby Hancock of Baltimore, Eula Ratliff of Jumping Branch; brothers, Zina, Oscar and Luther, all of Jumping Branch; sister, Irene Gibbons of Clarksville, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bluestone Baptist Church, Jumping Branch, with Pastor Bill Fox and Pastor Elmo Alderman officiating. Burial will be in Lilly Crews Cemetery, Nimitz. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Hinton, and one hour prior to service at the church.
