Thomas Simmons is buried in an unmarked grave [originally marked with fieldstones that are now piled up at the edge of the cemetery] along with his parents Silas and Janet Simmons.
Howard Simmons was able to prove that the three were buried here with a reasonable certainty. In 1936 George Simmons [son of Benjamin Franklin Simmons, son of Silas Simmons] took Howard to Old Enon Baptist Church and told him that the three were buried there. At that time the fieldstones were still in place. Howard Simmons died 01 Sep 1999.
A memorial marker was placed by some family members, however, the inscription is not completely correct.
