CLIFTON R HEAD WAS RESIDENT OF WHEELING
He Had Resided In That Community for 64 Years.

Clifton R Head, 83, of Wheeling, died at 11:30 o'clock last night at the Chillicothe hospital. Mr Head had been in failing health for several years and seriously ill and hospitalized the last seventeen days.

Mr Head, a son of Renic S Head and Elizabeth (Foley) Head, was born November 30, 1882, at Bardolph, Illinois. He came from Illinois to Wheeling.

On August 28, 1904, he married Miss Jenny May Clark at Wheeling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six daughters, Mrs Opal James, Chillicothe; Mrs Minnie Narr, Kansas City; Mrs Margaret Dye, Carrollton; Mrs Cora Arnold, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mrs Ruth Gastineau, Joplin; and Mrs Beulah Hillsman, Overland Park, Kansas; and a son, Ralph Head, Wheeling. He also leaves three sisters, Mrs Lummie Braun and Mrs Alta Parks, Chillicothe, and Mrs Clo Arthaud, Wheeling; fourteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Harold Clifton Head, and a brother and a sister [Jennie].

Funeral arrangements, under direction of the Norman Funeral Home, are incomplete.

CLIFTON R HEAD RITES ARE HELD AT WHEELING
Memorial services for Clifton R Head, 83, of Wheeling were held at 2 o'clock Monday from the Wheeling Baptist Church.

The Reverend Ronald Meldrum, pastor, conducted the service. Mrs Leta Clem sang "Good Night and Good Morning" and "The Old Rugged Cross," accompanied by Mrs Ethel Tompkins.

Pallbearers were grandsons of Mr Head, Martin Dye, William Dye, Dean Narr, Dale Stuver, Larry James and Don James. Interment was in the Wheeling cemetery under direction of the Norman Funeral Home.

Mr Head died Friday at the Chillicothe hospital.
