Janie Giambelluca Schuman, 96, of Sugar Land, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014. She was born July 28, 1917, in Bryan, Texas, to Jack and Josephine Giambelluca. Janie was a long time resident of Stafford until she went into Sugar Land Healthcare Center in 2004.

Janie was a homemaker and dearly loved her family and friends. She was always very appreciative of what others would do for her.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph "Fred" Schuman, brother Charlie Giambelluca, sisters Carrie Ferro, Mary Maiorka, Laura Carso, Lena Ferro, and Rosa Lee Macek.

Janie is survived by her brothers Joe and Sam Giambelluca, sister Josephine Dise, close friend Diane Dusold, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014, from 5-7PM with a rosary at 7PM at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 4th Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014, 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth Street, Missouri City, Texas 77489. A Rite of Committal will be 12:30 PM at Morton Cemetery in Richmond, Texas.

The family would like to thank Sugar Land Health Care Center for their loving affection and continuous care, and also Hospice Plus for their assistance.

Pallbearers will be Billy Adams, Mike Baird, Johnny Dise, Rick Duran, Bobby Slusser, Jimmy Williams.
