Joe Giambelluca, 98, passed away in Sugar Land on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. He was born on January 8, 1921 in Bryan, Texas and his family moved to Stafford, Texas when he was a young boy. He spent many years working on his daddy's farm. During WWII, he served in the U. S. Army, with an honorable discharge. He became a welder and was recognized as being very good in his field. He was a long time resident of Stafford, Texas, where he had many friends. He was known for always joking around with his nieces and nephews and he never lost his sense of humor. In later years, he enjoyed fishing or just hanging out in Stafford at Best Burger or the Ice House to socialize with friends that knew him as "Papa Joe". Although his siblings were aware, many were surprised to discover that he was a very talented artist. He spent his last few years drawing pictures for others and playing bingo, along with continuing with his great sense of humor and reminiscing of the past with his very good memory.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Josephine Giambelluca, brothers, Charlie Giambelluca and Sam Giambelluca, sisters, Carrie Ferro, Mary Maiorka, Laura Carso, Lena Ferro, Janie Schuman, and Rosa Lee Macek.

Joe is survived by his sister, Josephine Dise, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 26th, at Davis- Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel at 3900 BF Terry Blvd, Rosenberg, Texas, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 27th, at Holy Family Catholic Church at 1510 5th Street, Missouri City, Texas. The graveside service will follow at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. Reception to follow at the home of Josephine Dise in Sugar Land, Texas.

Pallbearers will include Billy Adams, Scotty Adams, John Dise, Dustin Duran, Chris Giambelluca, and Bobby Slusser.
