Howard DeVerl Garlick, 52, died June 6, 1999.

He was born May 11, 1947, in Ross, California, to DeVerl R. and Lorraine Waggoner Garlick.

He worked in security and most recently as a security guard at Gateway.

He loved fishing and camping and loved to collect pigs.

He served eight years in the Army; serving two tours of duty in Vietnam and earning the Purple Heart.

He is survived by two daughters: Rebecca Lynn Villareal, Georgia; Sherry Velvet Belliston, Salt Lake; four grandchildren; his mother of Salt Lake; a sister, Darlene Lorraine Matthews, Salt Lake, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He will also be missed by many special friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, his father, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, 11 a.m. in the Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services.

Burial, American Fork Cemetery.
