JAMES KING FRANKLIN was born in Perryville,Boyle County KY 20 April 1844 to JOHN and NANCY ELLEN GRAY FRANKLIN and died near Browning MO 25 Dec 1942.Came with parents as a boy to vicinity of Deep Springs MO.Married LOUZANN JONES 15 Nov 1868 who died 14 Feb 1917.Children born,JAMES BENJAMIN died 9 July 1892;MARY VESTA SWEARENGEN,died 2 Dec 1911;WILLIAM EARL died 1 Jan 1922;HENRY CLAY of Kansas City;ROBERT E. and GEORGANN HEAD of Cora MO;JOHN R.,BEV KENLEY,MINERVA HAVENS,Mrs NORMAN HAYES and Mrs TOM SWEARENGEN,all of Milan MO.Grandsons in the Armed Forces,
FRANKLIN HAVENS,ESTA HAYES,ALFRED FRANKLIN,EVERETT SWEARENGEN;great grandsons BILL and JAMES HEAD,HARLEY MAGGART,JAMES FRANKLIN and CLAUDE McINIRE.Burial Deep Springs Cemetery.
