Erskin L. Bailey
FRISCO CITY - Erskin L. Bailey, a native of Monroe County and resident of Frisco City, died Thursday at a Mobile hospital. He was 61. Bailey owned his own farm and leased many acres of land around Monroe County for farming. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Betty Bailey of Frisco City; two sons, Timothy Bailey of Uriah and Ronald Bailey of Hawkinsville, Ga.; one daughter, Teresa Bailey Waters of Excel; three brothers, Harvey Bailey of Frisco City, and Franklin Bailey and Ivey Bailey, both of Mobile; three sisters, Ethel Stinson and Ruth Melton, both of Frisco City, and Faye Guy of Mobile; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Central Church of Christ in Ollie, Ala. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30329, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Arrangements are by Monroe Chapel Funeral Home in Monroeville.
