She was one of the first of the GILMORE family born at Agency Twsp, Buchanan Co, Missouri as she was born the year following the opening of the Platte Purchase in 1837. died on the Great Plains while her family was traveling in covered wagons en route to Oregon.

J. D. Larimore adds that specifically she died near Cheyenne, Laramie Co, Wyoming and was buried near the Oregon trail and possibly at Fort Laramie--- 12m 2010.
