Services are pending with West Funeral Home for Auda Fern Bannister, 73, 904 Richards St. She died Oct. 8, 1986, in a local hospital.

Born Oct. 18, 1912, in Batesville, Ark., she moved to Hobart, Okla., where she attended schools and graduated with the class of 1931. On March 6, 1937, she married Charles E. Bannister in Mangum, Okla., and they moved to Carlsbad the same week. For the past 20 years, she has been employed as a bookkeeper for Carlsbad Flora. She has been a member of the First Baptist Church since 1937.

Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Bannister, Carlsbad; one son, Charles M. Bannister, Albuquerque; one daughter, Nita Swartz, Las Cruces; one brother, Hubert Richardson, Hobart; one sister, Grace Hood, Hobart; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice.

BANNISTER

Services for Auda Fern Bannister, 73, 904 Richard St., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Bacon, First Baptist Church, will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sanford Chandler, Truman Ferguson, M.G. Smith, Tommy Clements, Don Kelly and Clyde Sergent.

West Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
