BUSINESSMAN DIES

HICKORY -

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. yesterday for William T. Council, 48, Hickory businessman and former State Representative, who died from aq cerebral hemorrhage.

Council was a first lieutenant in the famous World War I machine gun company headed by R. Gregg Cherry, now governor of North Carolina.
