John Marshall Dies At Home In Liberty
John Marshall, 76, died at 5 o'clock this morning at his home located one-half mile south of Liberty Center. He had been ill the past six years from heart trouble and complications and had been seriously ill for the past three months.
The decedent was born May 29, 1871 in Liberty township to Isaac and Martha Sutton Marshall. His marriage to Charlotte Grover took place at Linn Grove on Feb. 23, 1893. Mr. Marshall was a retired farmer and a member of the South Liberty Christian church.
Surviving besides the widow are two sons, Earl Marshall, of New Haven, and Carl Marshall, of Huntington county; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Ulmer, of Bluffton, and Mrs. Marshall Carl, of Huntington; a foster son, Delmar Grover, of Liberty Center; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Grover was the last member of his immediate family.
The body will be returned to the home south of Liberty Center Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Liberty Center Baptist church in charge of Rev. W. C. Poulson. Burial will be in the Mossburg cemetery.
