Robert Padgett of South Bend and Miss Winifred Ruth Sampley of Jermyn were married in Graham, Texas on 23 December 1923 in the Methodist parsonage officiated by Rev. J.W.W. Shuler. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Sampley of Jermyn and has lived in Jack and Young Counties practically all of her life. She is one of the efficient teachers in the Jean School in 1923-1924 and will finish out the term. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and had owned Padgett Flowers for many years.

Survived by sister - Georgia Breeden; two nephews.
