Geneva, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, died peacefully at the Creative Care Adult Home, on Feb 14, 2013. She was born on August 9, 1926, in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Jasper and Audie (Harber) Gillihan. She graduated from Calico Rock High School in 1944, and then moved to Sunnyside with her family because her father started working on the newly formed Hanford Project. She married Gilbert Brook in 1946 and they had two sons, Jim (3/1/1949) and Jack (4/19/1952. Geneva had many talents, but her greatest was her love and caring for her husband and two sons.

She retired from Grandway Pharmacy in Grandview. She attended Bethany Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years.

She is survived by her husband Gilbert, her two sons and their wives, Jim (Judy), Jack (Paulette), her four grand-children; Brandon (Stephanie) Nathan (Diane) Ian and Erin; her five great-grandchildren; Tiffani (Kohl) St. Peter, Tyson, Lindsay, Chloe and Cooper, and one great-great grandchild Jaxon St. Peter; her sister Armilda (Kenny) Hart and sisters-in-law Joyce and Rosemary Gillihan.

Preceding her in death were her father and mother Jasper and Audie Gillihan, brothers Jack (Rosemary) and Doyne (Joyce) Gillihan.

Geneva will be greatly missed by all her family and friends but due to her deep Christian faith she is in a much better place now and experiencing no more suffering and pain.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb 22, 2013, 10 am at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 201 Birch Ave, Grandview, WA. Viewing will be Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 528 S. 8th St, Sunnyside, WA. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
