Clyde Perry Ammerman of Pine grove Mills died in the Centre Community Hospital Wednesday 3:11 p.m. He was born Aug. 14, 1898, in Tyrone, the son of Harry S. and Barbara James Ammerman.

He was first married to Mariam Blair, who preceded him in death. He was later married to Gladys Corl, who survives, with one daughter, Mrs. Clair Sharer of Tyrone RD; two brothers, Edward Ammerman and Robert Ammerman, both of Tyrone, and two grandchildren.

He was a retired conductor of the Penn Central Railroad, and a member of the United Methodist Church of Tyrone.

Funeral services will be held at the Koch Funeral Home, State College, Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Nelson H. Frank officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Tyrone. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
