*Ed Cook, one of our substancial farmers who lives 3 miles south of Troy Mills, took a dose of sulpheric acid Sunday morning by mistake. He supposed he was taking his medicine, but got the wrong bottle. He was in dangerous condition for some hours, but at last account was improving.
*Edmund C. Cook died on June 1, 1892, age 46, of injuries suffered a few years ago, on his farm, two and half miles south of Troy Mills. (He may have been kicked by a horse).
~0bit~Edmund C. Cook died, after many years of suffering, at his home two and half miles south of Troy Mills on, Wednesday, June 1st, 1892. The funeral services were in charge of I.0.0.F. and were held in the church on the south side, Rev. J. A. Bolton preaching the sermon. Mr. Cook leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss besides innumerable friends as was shown by the large concourse of friends and neighbors who congregated to pay the last tribute of respect to his memory.
