The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Fri, Jul 2, 1926 - pg 1

John Sacerson was born in Andover, Illinois, May 24, 1868 and died at his home in Edgar, June 25, 1926 after an illness of about three months from cancer of the liver and stomach. The funeral services were held from his late home in Edgar, Sunday afternoon, the Rev Mr Hassell of the Gesthemane Swedish Church officiating. Mr Hassell spoke his words of comfort in both the Swedish and English languages and were marked for their scriptural sincerity. Mr Algot Peterson of Ong sang a solo in Swedish and the Misses Nelson and Swanson and Messrs Swanson and Peterson on Ong formed a quartet that sang several beautiful songs in English. The quartet also sang a song at the cemetery. The deceased leaves to mourn his going two sisters, Mrs Eph Anderson of Wakefield, Nebraska and Mrs Pat Driscall of Erie, Penn., and three brothers, Nathan of Wakefield, Nebraska, August of Wyoming and Emil, who is now in North Dakota. Mrs Driscall and Emil were unable to attend the funeral.
John also had many friends here. He was known to have a kindly disposition and an unpretentious manner, he contributed little acts of kindness to others that were known only to him and his Maker. He has always been possessed of the rugged physique, until a few years ago when he lost an eye, and his health has not been at its best since then.
